I started this blog 3 years ago, mainly just to post pictures of my kids for my parents and other long-distance family to see. A year later, all those people got Facebook accounts, and it seemed kind of silly to post pictures in 2 places. So, I deleted all the old posts and decided that maybe I would use the blog to record funny things that my kids said. As you can see, I only did that once and never came back...oh well.
When Leila at Like Mother, Like Daughter suggested that people post pictures of our daily life on Thursdays (things that are pretty, happy, funny, and real), I decided to dust off the old blog and post some. I realized that it might be nice to have pictures of daily things that I might not normally take for the family photo album. After all, my life is crazy, and in a decade or so I might appreciate the memories of the chaos. :-) So here goes, and we'll have to wait and see if I do this more than once, haha!
"Pretty"
These are my over-the- sink decorations that I enjoy looking at while I do dishes. The berries brought a splash of color to my white view all winter, and the snowman family makes me smile. My parents gave us the snowman ornament this Christmas, and wow are there a lot of little snowmen there!
"Happy"
Seeing my older kids helping the younger ones and playing together nicely (however brief it may be!) makes me happy.
"Funny"
My 1 year-old is teething and generally going through a cranky phase where he wants to be held constantly. Because I can not hold him constantly, this is what I often see. Laughing about it keeps the frustration level down!
"Real"
My first submission in this category today is a photo of my diaper shelves. It doesn't get more real than that, haha! And the second picture shows my delinquency in changing with the seasons. Time to make some paper flowers - but around here I think that is just wishful thinking, but a more realistic picture of mud wouldn't be very decorative...we'll see.
